Every single month Star Tots matches the full top-3 prize amount — the same R10,000 we pay out to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place — as a donation to a registered South African charity chosen by the parents of the #1 baby, according to our competition rules. Their baby wins, and a cause close to their heart wins the same amount.

The donation record
The cause supported, the area it serves, our payment reference and the amount — published month by month. We don't publish beneficiary names, logos or photographs of the organisations themselves without their written permission, so each month is listed by cause.

How a donation happens
- 1. Voting closes at midnight on the last day of the month and the results are verified.
- 2. The #1 winner's parents nominate a registered South African charity or NPO (we may ask for its registration number).
- 3. We match the full top-3 prize amount for that month, rand for rand.
- 4. The donation is paid by EFT within 14 days of the announcement, we confirm with the organisation in writing, and the month is published in the table above.
Notes: the matched amount is the total cash paid to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for that month, and this page updates as each month closes. We list each month by the cause it supported rather than by organisation name: we only name, photograph or display the logo of a beneficiary once that organisation has given us written permission, and no organisation is presented as a Star Tots partner or sponsor unless it has agreed in writing. We use privacy-conscious close framing and do not identify families without their written permission. If a nominated organisation can't be verified as a registered charity or NPO, we choose a registered SA children's charity instead. Star Tots is not a registered public benefit organisation, so payments you make to us are not tax-deductible. Want the proof of payment for a month? Contact us and we'll send it.
